Easier survivor modes please

Why not allow the slider go under 75% ? It doesnt make much sense to only allow slightly easier difficulties. its normal in games to have 2x easier and 4x easier modes, but here its just 1.25x easier, which is basically no difference at all.

I would suggest it to go at minimum to 20% for harder maps, and at maximum to 200% (=twice as hard) for easier maps.

it's easy enaugh, and we don't want that nobody learns to play

e.g. at 75% and Combo AI at Red world it's so easy that you can get 1 billion income!!

Otherwise we want that maps like Sphere can be a real challenge, that's why we need more then 125% (150%).


Edit:

Just for your understanding: 75% does not mean that it 3/4 hard like 100%, it's a exponential factor.

A 75% AI gets only 75% of the "normal" income each Round, that means:

75% AI Income: 332 after 10 rounds, 451 after 20 rounds
100% AI Income: 566 after 10 rounds, 1468 after 20 rounds
125% AI Income: 722 after 10 rounds, 2343 after 20 rounds

Do you see how big this effect is??

Meiner Meinung nach könnte man gern mal einen kleinen Beitrag zur Exponentialfunktion schreiben.
Das ist mir schon häufig aufgefallen, dass Spieler schlicht kein Plan haben, dass es hier um eine Exponential-Funktion ("Zinses-Zins", mit 10, 9, 8, 7 %) geht. Das ist aber grundlegend für dieses Spiel.

Fragen wie "warum darf ich nicht sparen? ist doch egal, ob ich das Geld jetzt oder später ausgebe?", und "wieso ist es am Anfang entscheidend, nicht zu viel zu deffen? Dann muss ich die Def später nicht bauen" und auch die oben angesprochene Thematik vom Thread-Ersteller lassen da m.E. auf kleinen Nachbesserungsbedarf schließen.

Habe ich schon oft gedacht, fiel mir hier gerade wieder ein.

lol? Try speedvector... i doubt you even get 1 000 000 000 income in any map on survivor mode. never seen it, and never will. its just not possible :lol: even when i play against super noobs, my max income has been like 200million... after that they just die even if i send the easiest creeps while trying to get more income.

I have noticed the biggest annoyance on survivor (no matter how easy or hard the map is), is that they start suddenly spamming epic creeps. For example they could send 1 zeus each round ,and then all of sudden they send a raptor, or two phoenixes etc. While I have like 20k income at that point, and the hardness level is 75%... even on QuadCore its super hard (the big combo mode). at least last time i tried.

We know, that the Survivor is hard in the beginning. But you will learn fast...

Ok, show me how you get +200k income when phoenixes have came.

Lol.. i just tried singleplayer survivor. I cant even press the invest button, nor upgrade my towers because it bugs. And you expect to get +200k income with all these bugs? :lol: I would love to see that! Sir!

Not at the moment. But I already have played games up to 200k income...

Wow me too... but not on the big combo mode.

It starts super slow and easy, and then all of sudden gets epicly hard. That is just insane... you can try it out if you dont believe. Also, single player survivor is totally unplayable... Wink wink.

Nevermind, looks like you have changed the mode. I get +5m income now... maybe it was the invaders mode where it was too hard? dunno... but now its playable. Maybe it was to hard on longspeedvector only ;)

Have you tried the new difficulties for TheBigCombo already? What do you think about it?

i tried a bit, and i think its great. though there could always be harder modes, i play on hard only and its "normal" to me :) could add some extreme hard mode there too... in that mode you would be very low on lives because you have to let some hard creeps through or your income would get too bad.

why doesnt bounty hunter have different difficulties btw? i would also like that the big combo could be played as "bounty" mode too: get money from kills. that would be interesting.

Actually the "Bounty Hunter" mode does not scale very well. This is because if the AI has more credits/income, also the player will receive that amount with a little delay in that mode, because every creep results in 100% bounty. It's hard to do something "smart" there from my perspective, so there is just one difficulty for legacy reasons.

I think TBC [hard] will become more fun once there are a bunch of highscores to beat. I guess then it's no more easy :)

How about you give only 50% of money and send twice as much creeps for harder bounty modes?
