Horrible lag

Today, I faced a horrible lag, me and my mate lost skill without any good reason in this game http://www.creeptd.com/en/games/snl3sy1 ... emg9ue13t0

Please, fix these lags because I have just lost 22 skill points for not reason...

Re: Horrible lag

I have had epic lags too. Also, why does the game take 600MB of memory? Its simple game, shouldnt take that much memory!

Re: Horrible lag

The game uses a static maximum of 512mb of memory to cache images, sounds and other stuff in RAW format to make it as fast as possible. Usually not all of that is actually used but filled with cached content for reuse.
Think it, design it, build it, run it. That's what I do.

Seriously? You allocate 512mb of memory for ~10megs of data? I thought it was Java problem, but i guess Java programmers just dont think right...

If you buy a candy, do you use a 30x30x30 meters size bag for that one candy? Well, it works, sure, there is no problem, but that bag might not fit from your door into your house. It might fit to some rich bastard house which has 10 meters wide doors, but everyone doesnt have such a palace, unfortunately.

Re: Horrible lag

You are mistaken. In RAW format everthing's lots bigger. The game is highly compressed and even if the limit is too high but your computer does not lack the 512mb, this does not make anything slower.

Images of this game doesnt take more than 2-8megs of memory even in raw format. Sounds wont take more than 2megs. Are you saying you put your music uncompressed in the RAM?

Then why the hell do you allocate 512mb of memory for the ~20mb of memory you use?

Re: Horrible lag

I request a lock for this topic as I had mistaken for being the reason for starting this argument.
