The Mappool

We doubled our mappool! There currently 273 maps in the game!

We want to give the players the chance to design the mappool as they would like. That is why we added nearly all maps from Testing area to Fun.

How do maps join the mappool?
Maps are posted here in the forum and get tested in the Testing area. When the map works it will be upgraded to Fun.

How do maps drop out of the mappool?
Simply by playing the maps you like. All maps with less than 20 games per month will drop out of the mappool.

What does it mean if a map drops out of the mappool?
The map is now back in the Testing area, you can still play it though. Typ the mapname in "load map" and have fun playing it but there wont be any skill- or experiencepoints anymore.

The january 2017 is the first month we will do this procedure. All maps wich are played less than 20 times from the 01.01. till the 30.01.2017 will be removed from the mappool.

Thats 2 month. Did you mean from 1.11 to 30. 1.?

Just curious, will it happen more often now that maps are taken into the game easier ?
For me this looks like a step further to gain more attraction on the game, i just stopped playing creeptd some years ago but now when i saw the Facebook post about this, i just came back.. you should keep adding Maps to the pool as easy like that.. you can always take them out easily anyways if they suck in the end..

€dit: Also if it will be easier to get new Maps into the game, there will be more creators for these

By "Fun", you mean the normal overall Mappool right? kinda confused why it's named Fun.. If i read "Fun-maps" i think about Maps which can be played just for fun but wont give xp/skill or something like that..

We have the Testing area without skill- and xppoints and the offial area with points seperated in Fun and Tournament. Thank you for the hint about potentail confusion. I will use "official mappool" now instead.
