Local Map System

I was wondering whether a system which allows you to load a map stored locally into the game for whatever session you are playing; I have made a map which I and my friends would love to play and because of one reason or another (which nobody will actually tell me so I can correct :@) we are unable to as we can only play maps added to the server.

Is there a barrier that prevents this because I would've thought it as simple as downloading the other maps is; though I am not a programmer so I wouldn't know ^_^

We are currently working on making user created maps playable from a "testing" repository when knowing their exact name even if they have not yet added to the official listings. However, this is still work in progress but it will be possible later

bump as this should most definitely be the next update 'cos I'm bored of the current maps and want to play mine and my friends' maps
