huge pasuses\lags

I am having large pauses and lags while playing? Basically, it makes the game unplayable and impossible to enjoy. This is only happening on the new release. the old release worked fine. What are the basic specs of a machine needed to play the new version. My machine is older, but runs most everything else fine. intel pentium 4 2.8 ghz with a gig of ram.

Any thoughts on how I can play without pauses and lags? I am in Kansas City Area (US). Not sure if it could be a network issue.

Any other info you may need, just ask. Would love to continue playing.

Have you tried setting the graphics quality to a lower level? Have you tried the webstart or download version instead of the applet one? If this does not solve the issue, please explain me how exactly the lag looks. How long and how often are the pauses exactly? This could be a hint if it is a rendering or network problem.
Think it, design it, build it, run it. That's what I do.

both the browser and the download seemed to have that issue. the webstart I was able to play a few games without issue, then it started up. I noticed high cpu usage and memory issues (leak?) the longer I played and the more games I played.

1st game - Solo survivor - no real issues memory around 140k
2nd game - 2 player survivor - no real issues, cpu usage seemed a little higher, not bad - memory around 160k - 170k
3rd game - 4 player send to random - toward the end of this game, started to get lags and pauses. start of the game, cpu normal up to about 20%, by the end of the game cpu was hitting 75%. memory was approaching 200k.

on the memory, I noticed that everytime a new game started, the memory would jump up (kind of expected if you think about it), but then after the end of the game when I hit the red X to quit, the memory would never be released. So with each subsquent game, more and more memory is being used up. All of this testing was done with the java webstart.

I get huge pauses/lags on building towers or upgrading towers. It's not every game though. I'm not saying someone is able to do this from outside the rules of the game, but it doesn't always happen, only when I'm doing well against much higher rated players. My towers take sometimes 3-4 minutes after I deploy them to start attacking or before it accepts the upgrades. Like I said, not every game does it, but it is quite often.

Hab auch das Problem.
Wenn das Spiel asynchron wird werden beliebige Befehle erst Runden (!) ca. 30-40 Sekunden später ausgefürht.
Das betrifft das Bauen/Upgraden/Creepsschicken. Nur die Taktik umzustellen funktioniert ohne Laggs.

Grafik kanns nicht sein, hab nen i7 und Crysis2 läuft auf max. Grafik + hochauflösenden Texturen mit 120 Herz in 3D.

The lag or pause on building/upgrading is costing me win after win after win. My previous game for example:

Had more than double the income of my opponent and was sitting at 17 lives. He had 18. When I began building ions and other towers when I had the obvious income advantage I tried building a defense yet after almost 7 minutes, all of those green towers you see in the picture of the endgame picture, none of them counted as "built" for me. All had the ----- circling around it like it was waiting to build for almost 7 minutes, eventually costing me the win. This is virtually every game that isn't 1 vs 1 at the start.

I've been having the same problem as you ghosted. My income even takes several minutes after sending out creeps. It'll stay on the same income for about 5 or more rounds then adjust it self

Im so pissed of this. Right now we're betatester for an unfinished buggy game.

The old one worked perfect with a few disfigurements.
I dont want to attach blame to the new game, it blames itself.
This version is just not playable right now.

I hope you fix that soon, else i cant play this game anymore :!:.

Dcode fixed ~ 20 Bugs just in the last few days.. so keep calm and soon your game will run.

Remember.. he is just 1 person and he spent a lot of time/money to develop this game!
Without him this Game wouldn't even exist any more!

Please have a bit more respect to his work.

First off I have to say this is a great game and you guys do a outstanding job, so thankyou:) 2nd I am having the exact same problem with building/upgrading towers. have not had this issue until today...maybe a issue with a new fix to the game?

a major bug

i have had quite a few games in a row when i cannot send creeps every secreen turns has a red outline around it like they got hit and it will not let me send anything for 20+ rounds witch makes the game unwinable please look into this

no its alot different like im not talking about little pauses and lags here and there im talking about not being able to send a single creep there for not being able to increse my income and it lasts anywhere between 10-30 rounds
