Game Freezes at launch

My friend and I were going to play a game, and everything was good up until we launched the game. At this point it froze, and the only thing to do was close the client and reopen it. We tried a couple times, and each time the same issue. Several minutes passed before i took a screenshot for you, to show that it wasn't and error of impatients.
My friend and i are using the same internet connection (router), this is the only thing i can think of that might cause an issue like this.
Just reporting a bug, gl with it.

( I tried attaching the screenshot, but in the preview screen, it dosn't show up, so if its not here now, ask me for it, with instructions on how to get it to show up properly)

it would not let me load a bmp file, so the only other program i had was open office
