Big problem

I've been playing consecutive games today, no problem. Without switching programs or anything, I start a game, and the 3 of us ready. We download map. I am then frozen in place and game doesn't start with me. I x-out of creeptd, and it shows me in game with the other 2.

I tried this again in a different match, and it happened again.

I restarted computer, and it still happens.


I essentially cannot play creeptd now.
Furthermore, I lose skill despite never having started the games

The only thing I can think of is that I don't use Java 7, but only because ANOTHER glitch occurs when I use java7. If I use java 7, I can't even open creeptd. As soon as I click the CREEPTD icon, it says "unable to contact creeptd server"

As for using creeptd on a browser, nothing loads: it's a blank black page.

I paid for creeptd pro, surely I deserve a mod to resolve this with me? As of now, i have absolutely no way to play to play creeptd.

If I got this right, you are playing the download version. So, when your game freezes, please take a look in your CreepTD folder (the folder you actually installed it to). There is a sub folder "logs" that contains the creeptd-client.log which may contain additional information about why the game crashed. Please send me a copy of that log by appending it to a forum post or something.

The same might also give a hint on why CreepTD isn't able to contact the CTD server with Java 7 (which is recommended). I assume that the Java 6 executable has been allowed on your firewall while the Java 7 executable hasn't been unblocked yet.

While using Java 6:

As for Java 6, it looks like your Java runtime environment (JRE) fails to initialize a date format. After checking this, it seems that the Y is wrong in uppercase but still working on "most" Java installations around. I don't know why it's not working for you but with the next update I'll make it lower case in the hope that this will fix the issue.

As for Java 7, I found this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8216 ... nt-connect . I am going to set the "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" option but it will be required to reinstall the game to make this actually change.
