Advanced PvP Strategy

Anyone have any suggestions on some advanced PvP strategy? What are your build orders? Do you take some lives early on to get the jump on income or do you play it safe and build towers early? I know it depends on the map but there has to be some general rules to follow on long/short maps as to which towers to build and when. I'm trying to improve my game and any helpful suggestions are much appreciated.

Re: Advanced PvP Strategy

IMO Income is more important than in other modes ! In most cases i let the first bigger creeps pass by ! And of course you need less splash damage than in All vs All Mode, except in the end of the game. Also, if your opponent lets creeps pass by, just send another one of it just when the creeps is at the end of the map.
Especally in the beginning, if there are no creeps coming in, sell your towers and send creeps ! Saving your money for 1 or 2 rounds to send a bigger creep is also something i do very often in 1vs1 !
Cheers

Yea, I've definitely let a wave or even two pass by just to get a lead on the income. I like to try and get a tesla out super early because it can usually handle anything the comes its way for many rounds. I find that strategy works well 1v1, but I seem to have problems with more opponents. I've also employed the saving money to send bigger unit tactic. I like to send a shark super early and they will usually go around a couple times.

All most all the time, i build lvl2 splash tower before i build any tesla (speed) tower ! And dont build super early !! Try to build exactly in the moment you need it, not to early not too late ;) Usually i send a shark when ive got around 8-10k income.

Re: Advanced PvP Strategy

2v2 coop games have no particular strategy. The only way to win is to raise your income faster than the enemy.

In any other gamemode i would ussaly let the first 3 waves pass and increase my income. In all v all u should time yourself untill you need to start building towers. A solid defence for the fist few rounds would be a EMP with either 3 upgraded gun turrents or 1 lv3 cannon tower or 1 telsa tower with one lv2 cannon tower.

It is important that u should have a tower that deals splash damage. This is because 1 telsa tower lv1 wont be able to keep up with a cluster of fast novas. this can cause a storm of weak monsters to break past your defence.

One of the main things that can help you is tower preferances. They are auto set on strongest. Each tower has a good preference that can be used effectivly. Its up to you to determine what you want them to be.

If you are pinned down and you rapidly must defend yourself, stop defending and start saving. If your life drops below 10 it pretty much means that your screwed. If your able to save enough send out a powerful creep. The enemy will see the treat and will be forced to defend. This will open a chance for you to attack.
