Decisions {16x16}

Ok looking for a truly unique map.

came up with this.

The Design is very simple.
The Path, upon first look, is nothing to write home about. However there is more than meets the eye.

It start with the chance of a creep spawning in each of the paths except the center one.
When the creep hits a wall it pauses then retreats back off the board.
it then has has a 1/7 chance of entering the middle path. or a 6/7 chance of going to another path (I need to see if I can make it jump in a tunnel, not sure if I set this up correctly)

Each path has a 1/7 chance to go up the middle.

So what I envision: A ton of creeps getting shot like fish in a barrel. but if you get some that break through, boy will they be mad.
Obviously, you can't build on the brick walls

Thanks for putting a smile on my face!! When I first read your post i really had to laugh. Personally I thought what a completely stupid idea, I love it!!
But sadly when being objectiv I have to say, that we already had Maps like this such as strolling and PlanB and they turned out to be perfect for a game at 00:00 when just wanna do completely stupid things, But the aren't appropriate for normal gameplay. Maybe again an extrem fun map?

I think this would work best in a send to random scenario as well.


I always like to come up with more and more innovative and fun maps, Maybe not the most playable, but fun non the less.

I think there needs to be the availability of selecting map categories in game. We can filter upon short or long, but it would be nice to also select, extreme, fun, and testing (definitely testing). Not sure if the development of that side of the house is planning on being moved forward, but would like to see it moved in that direction.

Off topic----I have been thinking of revisiting Strolling at some point. making a 2.0 version now that I have a bit more experience under my belt.

Since I love Strolling I see potential in this map. But dont be unsatisfied if its doesnt make it into fun. :)

Wow 3 hesitant positives for this. Who would have thunk it.

I meant for this to be a very simple design. I would change the walls though if this is ever to have a chance of moving forward.

This is where being able to test the maps before submission would come in handy.

Even being able to upload a map file to run in the simulator would be helpful to some extent.

I may pursue and alternate "FUN" map called barrelfishing :lol:

Flipper I was thinking quite some time about what to do with this map. But I don't want to rate it the way it is now.
I think you need to improve the path a bit.

You can stick to the idea you had. But those four strips are too short. You need to enlarge them a bit, so that you can at least somehow defend on them. Be inventive. circle, little curves. You can give each strip a little speciality.

If you want you can also just make a new path and pm me. So that we can figure out a way we can make this map at least a little bit less crazy. Afterwards we'll continue to look what we can do with this map.

I will give some additional time to this then, I want to try something new here.. but make it playable.

Let's test it:

Does not work.
