RetroFortress 16x16

Hello,

I was playing Utopia with my Intellivision console today, and I was inspired to make a retro-looking map.
DISCLAIMER: This is just a "Retro-Pixelated" look. I did not use an 8 or 16 bit pallet.

85 path segments, no timer, no stops, just simple path.

Source file + a template file incase you guys want to use Inkscape to make a map. I fixed the grid, and the proper image size.

Quite Ironic, I was playing an ancient 8-bit game, and was inspired to make a NES style image.
I might make a custom vehicle and turret pack to fit pixel-ated theme maps.

Great Design! Really like it. The path is also good! Nothing more to say, than good map!

First off, very nice map. I assume the only build areas are the grey areas?

I didn't know Utopia went back farther then the SNES. (* turns out they are two different games by two different companies 10 years apart)
I remember playing populous on the C64

Hab die Map jetzt mal im ava gespielt. Mir gefällt sie überhaupt nicht. Aber mal vom subjektiven abgesehen.

Wen man Maps alla Crossvec und Speedvec mag. Dann ist der Pfad für einen vielleicht eher geeignet als für mich. Da der Pfad ja relativ wenig verschnörkelt ist.

Design: So schön das Design ja auch sein mag. Es lenkt ziemlich stark vom Spielen ab. Die Kurven der Inseln stören extrem. Ohne Vectorvision kann man teilweise überhaupt nicht sagen wo man bauen kann und wo nicht mehr. Vor allem gegen Ende sind die Insel und dem entsprechend auch die gesperrten Felder schlecht gewählt, da man fast nicht mehr nachdeffen kann.
