[16x16] Strolling

It is a gorgeous summer day and you sit on a park bench under a shade tree near a pond.
Suddenly, creeps start running a muck, strolling aimlessly around the decorative stone path.
You can't set up towers on the park bench, the shade tree, the pond, or the surrounding bushes.
Creeps start in the top right end bottom left.

Lots of random choices in this one

yes it is a long path with restrictive defensive positions, but the creeps can circle around so you can get a few shots off.

Unsure if any creeps could get stuck in a loop but I don;t think so.
I may need to weight some of the intersections to prefer the longer route.


Here is a 2nd version where the path is a little darker added just a little color and blended the grass a bit more:

added to testing, i bet the path is VERY confusing/hard and no fun at all

like i said.... TO HARD you need 5-8 tesla towers for a ray, and you never know where the creeps go

i hope that shows you that splits should be used more careful
and generally the players don't like maps with splits

Simply too difficult, or let's better say too confusing. The design definitely isn't wrong that would be a nice point to start with. Make the path a bit easier maybe only one spilt or even just a single path and the map can get really good.

I see the error of my ways.
I was just trying something different and with noway of testing I was unsure of how it would play out.
I apologize for the waste of time.

I also found that the walkway stones are much too light in color.

Don't say that!! It wasn't a waste of time. Now you know, that it doesn't work like this. And you recognized your errors. So it wasn't a waste of time at all. I am sure that cause of this map and our feedback your next map is going to be even much better than this one.

What I meant by waste of time is directed towards EasyX and the time and effort needed to add and delete form the server.

Einige Spieler meinen diese map ist eine coole funmap und mir macht sie prinzipiell auch etwas Spaß, ohne Skillwertung finde ich es gut, da kann man auch mit main spielen, XP sollte es trotzdem geben.

Die Überlegung extrem Funmaps einzuführen wird überdacht. :)

Das Thema greifen wir mal heute/morgen in einem Vorschlagsthread auf.

Mir gefällt die Spielidee von diesem Pfad, mehr davon ist wünschenswert.

I like the idea of the path, more maps would be very cool.

Wow this took a turn that I didn't expect.
I did notice that the creeps and the path blocks don't play well together

I will resubmit with a darker path

Pfad ist sinnfrei und grüne Creeps schwer erkennbar.

Nein die kommt nicht auch (?) mit bei Random drann.

Testmaps sind in ihrem eigenem Bereich abgegrenzt von den anderen Karten in den Fun und Wettkampf Bereichen.


Die Karte macht auf dem Überlebensmodus spaß und ist fordernt.
Im All vs all Modus neigt es zum Noobbashing da der Pfad unklar ist.

In an attempt to provide hours of mindless entertainment to the game, I came up with a new map file for this map.

Instead of just going fairly straight to the end, I wanted to have the creeps truly stroll through pathways, circling round and round.

Even if it never makes into the game, it has been far too long since I have heard Manuel's criticism and figured this would do it :D

This map file would surprise me if it works as designed. :shock:
It wouldn't surprise me if it brought the server to its knees :cry:
