This forum is for all english speaking community members who wants to write an apply for a Moderator or Maptester position. Until now no one tried it.

With it being here but empty i think it gave the impression no applications were being sought.. for me at least.

Would be great if we get some good applications from the english speaking community.

I'd really love to see an application from an english speaking player! :)

For me, the ideal english speaking moderator should...
- natively speak english as his first language
- play the game for a while already so he knows it inside out
- also understand german to help me translate and answer stuff
- know the basics of creating maps and stuff like that (mustn't be advanced on that, though)
- know how the translation editor works to be able to answer questions on that (it's quite simple)
- be temperate in language and decisions

That'd be a dream! ^^

Probably I shouldn't write this post. But beside the "german point" I guess Australis would be quite a good candidate for this post as he is english speaking, a quite good player, .... I won't write all the other points of dcode again now.

Well consider this my first step towards applying.

dcode wrote:- natively speak english as his first language

Yes, native speaking English.

dcode wrote:- play the game for a while already so he knows it inside out

Playing for over a year.

dcode wrote:- also understand german to help me translate and answer stuff

I have no useful skill in this area.

dcode wrote:- know the basics of creating maps and stuff like that (mustn't be advanced on that, though)

I am working towards this now, but currently would say i lack the skills.

dcode wrote:- know how the translation editor works to be able to answer questions on that (it's quite simple)

Not sure what this involves.

I think im fairly reasonable.

But one extra point on top of your list is that i live in the southern-hemisphere which lends it self to being online outside of the times most of the creeptd team members are active during in the northern-hemisphere time zone.

that would be new for me that time differences are formed by latitudes ;)

But anyways you are right.. but that's not caused by the hemisphere but by your far distance from Europe in longitudes.

Yeah you are right. I was mistakenly thinking of the north/south differences in day light saving hours used here ^^

Nevertheless you are in another time zone. But actually I have to say that this isn't really an disadvantage rather an advantage, cause you are online when most of the mods are offline. Like this there would be somebody to talk with even in the evening.

We are still searching for an english-speaking moderator.
