Achievements

Hello everyone,

many of you asked for some sort of achievements in the game for a while now. I think I am going to implement this, but I'll need your help! Most common problem about achievements are the naming (must be funny somehow) and the unique image (not too much variance in image style). That's not an easy task for a single person so maybe you have some ideas, too.

Feel free to post your suggestions :)

How about an achievement for pro player? That people see that you payed for the game.

I would differentiate with the x games won. For example there could be an achievement for winning 10 games, 100 games, 1000 games or so. For each achievement you get a name.

I would also add an achievement for reaching certain skill levels. Could be that I oversaw that in easy's list :)
For example: Achievment for gaining 1300 skill, 1500 skill, 1700 skill, 2000 skill.
1300: Gladiator
1500: Mighty Gladiator
1700: Brutal Gladiator
2000: Legendary Gladiator
This is taken from Guild Wars but maybe someone has a different idea. I couldnt come up with anything.

Just as a question: do people get to choose these names infront of their names?

If yes, maybe it wouldnt be so wise to give a name for every achievement. Otherwise there would be a flood of names. Just like in World of Warcraft you could group certain achievements and gain a name once you have achieved them all.
Example:
Group "Survivor" consisting of the following achievements
Play x suvivor games
win x survivor games
win a survivor game on every tournament map
win x suvivor coop games
reach round x at survivor (16x16)

So when the play wins the number of games needed for the "win x suvivor games" achievement, it will just say you have gained the achievement "Win x suvivor games".
But once he has finished all the achievments in one group he will get a name for that.

Therefore I think it is more of a special thing to gain names, which might lose their speciality if you get a name for every achievment.

I got 31 achievements until now containing 120+1 different levels if every single one but the pro achievement has a bronze, silver, gold and platin threshold.

There needs to be a way to see what you need to do to get the achievements, including which achievements you don't have. Like for the "I Love My Wrecking Ball" achievement it just says "Swing the wrecking ball". I want to see how many many towers I need to sell to get each level of the achievement.

We dont want a achievementlist, because it can be funny to find a new achievement and with the description it is clear how you can get the better achievement.
The most achievements are cleare hierarchized, so if you look at your "Hasta la vista, baby!" achievement:
Bronze: 100
Silver: 1.000
Gold: 10.000
Platin: ? maybe 100.000 :)

But you are right, if we launch more achievements you could need more overview.

Here are some ideas:

SENDING CREEPS
Enough To Fill a Thermometer: Send x amount of Mercuries (in a wave? a game? in general? You decide)
What's Worse Than a Mothership?: Send x amount of Motherships in a wave (starting with 2?)
Cultural Diversity: Send every creep at least once in x amount of games
Quantity over Quality: Send x amount of Tier 1 creeps in one wave

BUILDING TOWERS
Need More Ammo: Build x amount of gun turrets in one game
Brain Freeze: Build x amount of EMP turrets in one game
Splash Damage Junkie: Build x amount of Cannon turrets in one game
Slow and Steady: Build x amount of Rocket turrets in one game
You Should See The Bill: Build x amount of Lightning turrets in one game
Wireless Communication: Build x amount of Ion Cannon turrets in one game

Survivor of the game: Survive x rounds.
Survivor computer: Survive x rounds in survivor.
Survivor against other: Survive x rounds in versus
Survivor of a match: Survive x rounds in versus in a match.
Survivor computer of a match: Survive x rounds in surivor in a match.

I don't need lives: Have very less lives (red number) at the begin (first 15 rounds) and win a match/ x matches.

(Remember: For these achivements you and the other players must do something and the match have to have got 50 or more rounds)

The possibilty to chose a title for your account would be nice. It will also fight against the smurf accounts.
For example: Ximon - Legendary Gladiator 8)

Need, more, POWER!: Just update xxx towers (for Gold an Platin you must ,with exception ultimates, even full update towers; sorry for grammar fail).
