Hi, maybe a chat for spectators should be invented. So players don't get distracted by spamm and specs can still talk and even whisper to ingame players they know. I don't want censorship, so maybe it should be able to turn this special chat on / off in the settings for each game? Would be very useful for players in 2on2 so they still get what their teammate says (send rays! Why didn't you send em? You didn't follow the chat? awww f!@& off!!)

And where do you wanna place that chat?

same spot, only specs can read it. works like whispering to a group. i don't want the surface to be changed xD
- edit: and if the spectator wants to send a message to a single player he still can use /m name. All spectators are identified by the program as a group from the start so they don't have to type /group (whatever) in their first message and people don't have to learn new chat comands. Well, only if the host switched on this spec-chat... hope you get my point.

and i think thats not the point!

my thoughts on this idea are that this could be a very nice option but it´s not as nessesary as message to friends, friendslist in the lobby ect.. but still a try worth it to test it out.

i personally dont spectate games very often - so this would be useless for me in personal.
