"FOG OF WAR"

Why not make an option "fog of war" for creeptd.

-When a game is hosted an option "fog of war" can be selectable.
-"Fog of war" is a option that can be added in the game on any game modes allvall, survivor, 2v2, 2v2coop, send to random/next, 2v2 survivor coop.
-When "fog of war" is on, it affects the players visibility and the hosted game only.
-When "fog of war" is on, the game rules are the same that applies to the game modes.
-When "fog of war" is on, you can see your own creeps moving along the path of your opponent(s) area. However, you can't see your opponent(s) towers they built or upgraded. This also means that your opponents cannot see your towers you built or upgraded.
-You can only see your own towers and all creeps your opponents had sent to you.
-With fog, it poses a challenge to which creeps to send because due to the invisible towers of your opponents. This also means that your opponents would have to think which creeps they send because they cant see which towers I built or upgraded.
-Also, especially in survivor, fog helps hide your opponents towers so that you cant copy their defence.
-You can decide if skill calculations will count/not count or the amount of xp gain (eg 10,5,2,1 or 8,4,2,0)

not a bad idea.. i like it

Maybe with a little visibility arround your own creeps (1-3 pathes), which would force you to send stronger creeps more often to get an overview.

1 Question would be how to handle this with spectators? If they see the towers they could help someone otherwise they don't see any tower.. maybe a bit strange :D

Possible, but may cause lag, maybe the creeps they sent to you may signal you to send stronger creeps.
Only your onw creeps visible would make the fog more foggy

1 Question would be how to handle this with spectators? If they see the towers they could help someone otherwise they don't see any tower.. maybe a bit strange :D


3 options:

1- For spectators, if any spectators places a bet on what player, only the betted player's towers become visible
to the spectator who bets.

2-During the fog of war, Chat messages signal will become unreachable. In other words, you cant chat during a fogged game.

3. As a spectator, only creeps of all players are visible, no towers at all

I really Like this idea.
How would replays work? I suggest FOW be lifted in the replay
