These are the settings each tower should default on.
Gun - Farthest
Cannon - Closest
EMP - Fastest
Telsa - Farthest*
Missle - Farthest
Ion - Farthest****
* means this seriously needs to be changed.

The basic strategy settings are tuned to "kill everything & don't lose heavy shots on weak creeps". This is for absolute beginners who play the game the very first time. Everything beyond this is custom optimization

There should be a way to default how the tower start. For example, a creep is about to get through. This creep has say 15000 hit points. A single attack from the ion would be able to kill it. You build an ion at the last second. Oh wait its shooting some creep at the beginning which is going to die from splash damage anyway. Great.

I definitely support this, and/or possibly the ability to customize your own defaults.
(Of course, this customization could be considered by many mods as a tedious update)

Thats the point. It makes the game harder, so you cant build everything at the very last second.

Shouldnt that be the opposite: noobs only could use it? I mean, why make it easier for better player, or then the gap between players gets even bigger.

That would create even more twinks, but we want less.
Also a better player would win with or without this.. it's just a small advantage.

I think you dont understand the very reason why people create new accounts.
They dont create them because they want to play it easy, instead, they create them because they want to start a game faster!
And why it doesnt start fast enough? People are afraid, very afraid, of losing skill points.

Not shure if i am right,
but 1. the skill points you loose or get are independent from the experience points. And the advantages like strategy-preset depends on the Experience level.
2. It's the other way around: if you play as a "skill 1000" player against a "skill 1600" player and loose, you get -1 point maybe. if you win, you get much more. The problem is more, that you loose hundrests of skill level points when you often loose against "noobs".
The System how it is is very great. But i would more welcome the advantages for everyone, not for the upper class or the "golden-experience-class".
so far,
hope you understand my english
