Allgemeine Informationen

Englisch:
First of all I am happy that there are so many new map designers.
That's quite positive in the first position, and if your map convinces many users it is even better.

That's why we got a few tips for you:

Post your maps just if you are really sure that it will become an official map - show it to friends, to your family or maybe directly to a map tester?

Post your maps entirely with path data (so we don't need to ask you a five times ;) ).

The total package has to be right!

Design doesn't count solely so doesn't path, either - whereas path dominates with 2/3.
But it's obvious that 80% of all maps don't go down by its design but by its path, because an unplayable map may be that beautiful - it will always stay unplayable.

Let's get to design, although it counts "only 1/3" a map will be rejected if you work with paint. Well there are in fact maps that have been taken on the basis of crayons (colorart). Surprise us - the maybe best way still is Gimp and Photoshop.

That's for sure, it's not just the opinion of the map testers, moderators neither admins to decide about a map to be taken or not, because YOU, so to say the community should give your honest opinion. Therefor there should be posts with reasons, everything else won't help map creators or admins to get further. All in all I'm not a fan of closing any topics because of many senseless posts.

I want to highlight the tutorial series about a lot of mapping functions. Additionally - if not already done - read the following post which contains all information for map design. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=168

At the very last I need to tell you unfortunately, that the intake of new maps will take a while to be patient a while, please. =D

Cheers QX
