Supposed to be some kind of interplanetary travelling :) Note: this is alpha, so dont whine about gfx yet...

Its difficult to have an overview by a match on this map in the 4player modus...I think.

I don't like it, because the path is not visible and the design is really nothing special.

It is the most important for a good map. Sorry! 99,9% will never play a map, where they can´t see the path!
It is important to expatiate upon proposals.

I also think the map is not to defend!

can you see the path on QuadCore? nope, but still its probably the most played map out there. also darkvektor path isnt very visible, i remember being confused the first time i played... was hard to see where it goes. and countless of other maps! which you have forgotten because: people dont need arrows, we remember the path once we play the damn map.

I can see the path very clearly! And it isn´t the most played map! I have the data!

you dont see the path btw, you just guess it follows the logic. there is no arrows telling where creeps will go.

Die Namen sind etwas seltsam, weil sie aus den .map files genommen werden. Aber es sollte deutlich werden, welche welche ist :)


And at the moment, only a few players like Quadcore! Quadcore is not a good example of a successful map! (it was played a lot at the beginning of the Survivor- and Teammode)

every time i join the lobby, i see 2-5 quadcore maps ingame. so its still very much played map!

I am fine with critics, but that doesnt mean i have to do everything that you say. "change your map or gtfo"

All in all, thats just your preferences, and i dont agree to adding arrows in my maps. We can implement the button i talked about, instead.

Also, "don't expect that it will be added" is invalid argument, a map can be good even if the judges here dont like it. its not like you know what everyone else thinks..

I think i will be just waiting for the day when custom maps can be played without this - ever so sweet - process. And i'll promise that most of the good new maps are exactly the maps YOU hate ;)

anyways, there are already "worser" maps in the top-20 list, and this isnt any less good map than those IMO.

It will be possible for everyone to upload maps, but not every map will have a picture in the list of custoum maps...

You can trust me, I play the game since it exists and I know what a big part of the community wants! Maybe some players will like your maps, maybe not... Let´s see what the future brings!

There will be three different repositories: Official, Custom and Testing. New maps will be added to the testing repository. This is not selectable inside the game, but you are able to put the exact map name into the map selection box on the top right of the map select screen to load it.

If a map is good enough, it will be moved to the Official or Custom repositories after testing.
Think it, design it, build it, run it. That's what I do.

why not make a list where you can click the map names, sorted alphabetically? it will be really annoying to write/remember the map name every time i create a game, over and over again, that would mean i would have to create my own .txt file to keep track of some good maps i found, or i would forget them... not to mention, nobody else would be able to play the new maps, except the author of the map, and the players who join the game and remember the map name afterwards (unlikely). i would love to browse new maps frequently to see if theres anything new, that is the whole point of allowing this quick map upload IMO.

do you hide the images because someone might upload something offensive? can you at least make "recent maps" list so i could see the map image there and easily play again the maps i like the most? (sorted by my playcount) i think that would be great idea. perhaps add "report image" button to prevent offensive material?

also, what exactly determines good map? i would suggest simply playcounts... because if there is a map thats played 9001 times, but the judges here hates the map because its some sort of quadcore^2 and never adds to custom maps list. i dont like the idea that there are some judges who determine what this community likes. that takes the "community" part out totally, we should vote for maps by simply playing them, a lot. nor does google search engine have a judge other than popularity ;)
