Cubes 16x16

New survival map! The path is as long as on speedvector, but games will be a lot shorter because of less space to build. the creeps come from bottom right corner and circles around the cube in middle once and returns to bottom right corner. Also, you can only build on the crystals. (5x5 in size).

Edit: updated map to the "randomly" chosen paths version! it will now choose the longer path for every 13th creep!

I think the map is too short to be able to play exciting games out on it. Speed ​​vector already represents the minimum path!

You have many ideas for maps, background images, but more important are exciting paths! We want almost perfect Maps with good paths and perfect background images, because we already have so many maps!

Ernsthaft: tracker postet Maps, damit sie übernommen werden. Wenn du mit einer Map (egal von wem) unzufrieden bist, dann erkläre das bitte ausfühlich und sachlich. Bitte denk mal darüber nach, was deine Funktion ist.
Laut downloads bin ich der erste, der sich überhaupt die 'Mühe' macht, die Map zu testen :roll:.
Wie wollt ihr so den Pfad beurteilen ??

Right now the map is much too short to play a mean game on it. The path is way different than i expected. Please insert some guidelines. I know you dont like 'long' maps but this is my idea of path for this map:

- Pfad ist nicht ersichtlich
- Finden den Pfad alles andere als berauschend:

Es gibt nahezu nur 15 Möglichkeiten direkt am Pfad zu bauen wenn es hoch kommt.

Des weiteren bemängel ich das man überhaupt nicht sieht woher die Creeps überhaupt kommen und wohin sie gehen (sowas muss halt immer von Anfang an sichtbar sein...)

I wanted to make short because i wanted new different maps! currently all maps follow the same system: long path random shape etc... i want something totally different than that. and as i LOVE speedvector on survival mode, i thought of making it basically the same but a little different. the main point on speedvector on survival mode is to keep as many lifes as possible at the beginning, the end isnt that important, so the map doesnt need to be long: it could end up quicker since once you have built enough, you will not play any worser than others.

your idea looks good though, might be good for normal playing, but still, its not good survival mode map: too easy to defend.

Please keep in mind: the new survivor mode in version 1.0 is much tougher as it is right now.
You can test it with the beta.
The mapdesign shouldn't focus survivor only in my opinion. It has to be most fun in every gamemode.

ot.: what program(s) do you use tracker ? all maps look awsom in its way.

yeah i noticed... almost unplayable.. kinda boring now when i finally found the good maps to play it on :evil:

i use Genetica for textures, its not free program though. but its cheap, only 150$ or something, and yet, very powerful. compared to photoshop: 2500$ ? :)

How about using the new features of maps?

it would change randomly (or evenly? if possible?!) to either direction from the beginning, and then simply just walk around the one cube.

maybe too hard...? but at least it would be "interesting" path ;)

who whines that he cant see the path, you just need to wait until dcode implements "show path" button.

because on every map you must see the path.. i dont think that you can find a map without a path ingame!

in my map doodle you can see about 95% of the path.
In your map cubes you can see 0% of the path.

Yeah. but once you wait around 5 seconds, you start to understand it... after 15 seconds, you pretty much have learned the map and you dont need to see any arrows because you remember it in your mind! Its like learning to ride a bike... you learn it once, no need to use the helping wheels at the side for your whole life ;)
