Moin,

in diesem Thread kann sich allgemein über die Karten unterhalten werden.

Ich werde hier vor allem Änderungen im Survivor und Statusänderungen der Maps (Wechsel von Fun nach Testing ect. sollte kein eigenständiges Topic vorhanden sein) bekannt geben.

Mostly because Big Combo Easy is to easy.

Veto!

Ich hatte mal nen Wunsch bei Dcode frei. Damals habe ich mir gewünscht, dass Special für immer in Fun bleibt und er hat gesagt, dass das in Ordnung ist.
Ich hätte mir auch anderes wünschen können, aber ich hielt das für sinnvoll, weil die die Map mag.

Dcode dürfte ja wohl mehr zu sagen haben hier.

Also pls fix it.

Und Wäre Restricted weiterhin Restricted wäre das einfach sinnvoller.. Ist eine der besten Coopmaps..

New informations on how often maps are played. Thank you Knappe8.

Nearly all maps wich are played more than 20 times per 30 days are upgraded again.

Nice! Hast einiges an Müll aussortiert. Vielleicht wird dann ja bald wieder mehr Fun (statt Tournament) gespielt.

Aufgrund der vermehrten Produktion hochwertiger Karten und verbesserter Datenanalyse wird das Aufnahmeverfahren erneut beschleunigt.

Karten die im Testing bewiesen haben, dass sie fehlerlos spielbar sind und ein aussagekräftiges Spiel ermöglichen werden nun unverzüglich in FUN aufgenommen.

Alle Karten die in den letzten 30 Tagen weniger als 20 Spiele hatten hingegen werden aus Fun nach Testing verschoben. Der nächste Stichtag liegt irgendwo Ende Januar.

Wer denkt dass seine Lieblingsmap zu Unrecht von Fun ins Testing verschoben wurde muss es nur schaffen, dass die Karte über 20 Spiele in einem Monat erreicht. Dann wird sie wieder für einen Monat in Fun aufgenommen.

I updated the survivor values, easy will now be harder. This will be the values for new maps. I will update all maps soon.

I uploaded a bunch of maps from Testing but there are still more. I am planning to upload them all at the 31.12.2016 to make a new mappool with the played games from 01.01. - 31.01.2017.

Is it to much of a gamble to let the numbers decide which maps should be in the game? Does highly played means that it is a good map? How much does the mapvoting with thumps up and down count anyways? Can a map like Atomic be a good funmap? Will maps like Strolling get played enough to make it through the month? Will such a big testmonth annoy the playerbase and costs us players? Is the keynumber (20 games per month) useful?

I am speaking about this maps (111x)

I think the number of "Thumbs up" a map has become rather useless. Most of these votes are from a time when CTD had a bigger number of players.

Example: Flyingorb (68 thumbs up, 12 neutral, 42 thumbs down) has a total of 122 votes. It's a map that has existed back then when CTD had hundreds of players.

Iceflame, for example, has a total of 36 votes. Despite being several years old.

I think the ThumbsUp/ThumbsDown is not a meaningful metric on how popular a map is.


The number of how often a map has been played, however, is more relevant. But only for the most popular maps, like Richtungswechsel, 4stops, Quadcore, or Darkvector. The number of games speaks a clear language, those maps are very popular.

However, maps with a small number of games are harder to compare. The luck factor plays a bigger role here. If a map gets randomly selected at the random map mode just a few times more often than another, it doesn't say much about popularity.


Another thought: Once a game goes from fun to testing, is has pretty much zero chance to ever come back. (Unless a player wants it back really bad and decides to play it 20 times by himself.)


I dont think a test month would annoy the player base. Most good/regular players play Random: Tournament only, so they won't be affected anyway. And most of the amateur players probably won't even notice ;)

Updated the survivor values for all maps which are still in Testing (111 maps).

Big Combo Easy is now harder on every map, many maps became +10% on hard too. So Big Combo should be more challenging in the future.


Thank you very much for your honest feedback aleqqqs.
We have many good maps in the backyard, the players will decide which are worth to be in Fun. Active players will have way more impact now.

Sollte man die Survivor-Rangliste dann nicht auch resetten, wenn man die Werte von Grund auf verändert?
Sonst hätten es die jetzigen Spieler viel schwerer sich auf einen guten Platz zu spielen.

Für The Big Combo wird die Rangliste automatisch resetted wenn die Werte höher gesetzt werden. Sollten die Werte runtergeschraubt werden bleibt die Rangliste bestehen.
Bounty Hunter hingegen muss von Hand zurückgesetzt werden, was wichtig ist wenn die Map Updates erfährt. Bestes Beispiel dafür war BigArena.
Wenn euch auffällt, dass jemand in der Rangliste weit oben steht und Türme auf eigentlich blockierten Stellen stehen bitte bescheid geben.

They use the new pattern for the Big Combo survivor values which you can find here.

Have fun playing the now more challenging survivor modes. If you can beat 100 rounds on Big Combo Hard please let me know. ;)

Active playing is the key to help CreepTD! Participate in voting for the new mappool while playing and be the active part of the community.
