Had this thought too
This is a nice visual trick, but when u put Paths on it, it wont work anymore.
You can use optical 3d effects on a Map, but "moving" backrounds are not so easy, cuz the Pathdesign breaks this effect.

well. the only possible idea i have is put this thing in the middle or the lower right edge of the Map and build a path around it. That means resize it and build a map around it.

Nice idea.
But I think it would be really annoying in long games. I my oppinion backgrounds should be simple and mustn't disturb concentration.
